Big Changes for 2020
A change is a comin’
A lot has happened since Chuck’s passing so let me catch you up!
In October 2019 I began heavily weighing my teacher training options. I visited a few studios in Milwaukee, took lessons at both, researched the programs they offered, and had conversations with the studio owners.
Another option was me moving to Raleigh, NC. I hunted for a home to buy, and looked for a transfer at work. I came up empty and decided it wasn’t meant to be right now.
Work opportunity
At the end of December I was given an opportunity at my 9-5. It was to take a temporary role which would provide me a higher skill set, work with new people from across the country (hello networking for that move to Raleigh!), and give me more development. I said yes.
Teacher training
In December 2019 I said yes to Peak Pilates teacher training at Kinetic MKE. I know a few people who took this training and was hearing good things about it. Trey Fry, my future teacher, sat with me, allowed me to ask as many questions and look over the material. It made sense to go this route for several reasons. I knew that I couldn’t quit my 9-5 so I needed a program that would offer work life balance. The structure of the training also looked promising. With any school type environment I thrive in a structured environment and Peak training offered that to me. The decision was made.
Feeling Inspired Again
Here I am, one full month into my teacher training. I am feeling inspired and motivated to write. Even as I read the old post that I left unfinished about Chuck, I held back tears. However, I know that time heals and I’m emotionally stronger so it’s time to get back to writing.
I can’t wait to share the next chapter of my journey with you!
